White Sox slugger Jim Thome @ Oprah show w/ Dr. Oz

White Sox slugger Jim Thome and his wife were in the audience for the Oprah show last February. Dr. Oz was the featured guest.
This program re-aired on Monday.

The Oprah show would put Jim on camera during the more "female" medical discussions. I'm not quoting those here. Jim said he brought his wife to the Oprah show for Valentines Day - sort of a last chance thing before spring training begins.

Anyway, I read in the Chicago Tribune today that Jim Thome and his wife became the proud parents of a baby girl last month, 9 months or so after the Oprah show. :)

Did anyone see last night's Leno rerun?

It was from 05/03/1996. The Leno show was in Chicago then.

The "after the monologue" comedy segment had Jay traveling around Chicago on a scavanger hunt to find such items as a fat free dessert (twice obtained from a tiny Oprah), a steak (from the Lincoln Park Zoo lion cage), a beer (swiped from Harry Caray at Wrigley Field), and I don't recall what else.

Michael Jordan was one of the guests. Do you recall what the Bulls were doing that week?

Chris O'Donnell made a cameo appearance when the Leno show pointed out that Chris was in a McDonalds commercial as a teenager. [BTW, was Chris a former White Sox batboy in 1978 or so? I seem to recall something about that, but can't find that info online yet.]

Anyway, I thought someone here might enjoy hearing about this show.

Mid-Atlantic Sports Network : Cubs/Nationals game July 3, 2005

The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network is also airing a Cubs game from the past.

This will not be a winning game for the Cubbies, as the MASN is a team owned regional sports network that airs the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles games.
