The MLB network is airing highlights from old All Star Games including the one at Comiskey in 1983 that I attended with a friend.
I'll have to watch it closely to see if we show up anywhere in it.
I remember photographing the marching band and later some old timer baseball players on a golf cart. I wonder who they were...
Hope I can find those pictures some day.
If you were in that Marching Band, write to me in case I find those pictures.
I'd love to view more photos from this game. If you know of a site with more pics from the 1983 MLB All Star Game at Comiskey, please let me know!

ABC TV is airing a tv show tonight titled:
"Michael J. Fox: Adventures of an Incurable Optimist"
ET Online wrote about this program. Here is the Wrigley related part:
MICHAEL J. FOX: OPTIMIST AT WRIGLEY FIELD
Quote:
"I proposed doing a special where we just travel around, talk to people about optimism, go to places where optimism thrives and look at it from every different angle. It's brought us to Chicago, the home of the Cubs -- and the most optimistic fans in the world."
Chicago native Bonnie Hunt joins Michael for the Chicago leg of the special,...

UIS class may be required to watch World Series
The course is “The History of Baseball in the United States.” It begins with the fall semester, which qualifies it as a Fall Classic, just like the World Series.

I was watching the Cubs game at a local Mexican restaurant and saw the now famous cat at Wrigley 2009 moment.
Yep, I was yelling at the tv (you can't take me anywhere) when the groundskeeper lifted the cat by the tail.
Helpful hints for the future (because this will probably happen again)
1. Oven mitts are great for dealing with angry cats. Since those wouldn't be easy to find, a towel or two would have been very useful to pick up the cat.
2. Always treat animals at Wrigley with the greatest of kindness. You don't want to start an urban legend.
BTW, has anyone timed the cat's running pace for speed and compared it to a Cub player's running speed? Might be a fun comparison.
What is a Fosh Ball and which Cubs pitcher had success with it?
I've read that this pitcher is the ONLY one to have success with this pitch.
Can you name that Cubs pitcher?
I have an odd issue here.
Sometimes our cable listings show more than one channel carrying the same Cubs game.
Now this really shouldn't be a problem, EXCEPT that usually one of those telecasts will be blacked out and I'm a time shifter.
Yep, I usually don't watch live television. I'm still very aware of the commercials and will rewind a show a bit to catch commercials with useful information or entertaining content.
Without time shifting it would be difficult to follow Dancing with the Stars, American Idol and all the available Cubs games and still somehow have a life.
My question is: Is the a pattern to which telecasts are most likely to not get blacked out?
